Obituary of George Heinrich Schwarting

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George at 90 years of age. Reunited with the love of his life Cecilia Blakeston (1996). Loving step-father to Gladys Cleroux (2011), Doris Lamoureux, Judy (Stan) Diotte, Joyce Dolly Plant, Iris Faye (Doug) Hotte and Gord Blakeston (1991). Survived by his siblings Adolf Schwarting and Gertrude Drewes (Germany). Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Magdaline and siblings Aenne Eilers and Hanna Drewes. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Germany and extensive step family in Canada. George was born in Moorhausen, Germany and came to Canada when he was 20 years old. He was a Seaman with the Seafarers International Union, sailing the great Canadian waters. George loved to play Euchre, go to the market and the YMCA. A heartfelt thank you to WRH Palliative care team. If you so desire, donations to the Brentwood Recovery Home would be greatly appreciated.
