I am deeply saddened to hear of George's death. I send my sincere condolences to his family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of George. I have been his personal support worker following his bicycle accident in late 2017 until December 2020. George was always a kind and caring man and I am grateful to have known him. I am grateful to have helped him during his recovery. As he recovered from his injuries, he often shared a little about his life during my visits. I enjoyed getting to know him and understanding some of the struggles he overcame to create a good life here in Windsor. He enjoyed simple pleasures: a good bowl of oatmeal or his home made soup; tending to his plants; taking his bike and later his scooter to the markets for fresh food; enjoying a good meal at Market Square. I looked forward to my weekly visits to George, as he was a pleasant, interesting man who often offered me wise advise. I was very upset that I wasn't able to see him after my leave of absence in January. I miss him and will keep him in my memory as a very special person. A donation to Brentwood will be made in his memory. He was always proud of his recovery at Brentwood and I would like to honour his courage to change his life there.
