Thank you Jenna, My dad talked a lot about your planned trip and he was excited to hear about your experiences. It is so wonderful to hear about his life at Kensington Court. He liked being there, enjoyed the food, and you and the other staff. I didn't get to visit him there but nice to hear from you about him. Thank you!

Hi Kerry, Thank you for your kind words and memories of my dad. I too remember him as a fighter, and his dedication to justice was always paramount. It is nice to hear about him fighting for social justice and helping his fellow union brothers. Thanks for sharing this. It means a lot.

Jenna Warwick posted a condolence

My name is Jenna Warwick, and I'm a midnight shift concierge at Kensington Court. Danny was one of my favourite residents. I could always count on him to come down for breakfast, bright and early, with a warm "hello, Jen" for me. Watching him interact with the other residents was truly special-- he knew virtually everyone's name, would fetch bananas or coffee from the breakfast bar for others, and enjoyed countless conversations with his tablemate, Bruce. He was just so kind, and you could really tell everyone here thought so highly of him. I was so excited to tell Danny about a recent trip of mine to the UK, that included both Scotland and Essex. He questioned me about my trip, both before and after I returned, with such genuine interest and happiness for me. He recalled working in Essex (I believe near Southend?) and the winding, beautiful, sometimes scary roads around Loch Lomond and Glencoe. He was so proud to be Scottish! It was truly a privilege to know and speak to Danny. Sending all of you my condolences on the loss of your beloved dad and papa. He is so missed.

I only knew your dad through the GoodLife gym on Dougall. It was such a delight to see him in the morning and have a chat. He was always bright and bubbly and it always made my day to see him. My sympathy to you and his grandchildren. Margaret Armstrong

Dear, dear Danny. My heart breaks a little reading of this sad news. Danny was a beloved brother in solidarity of my father Lyle . I have beautiful memories of having enjoyed being present and observing the diligent and sometimes militant resolve that Danny and his band of retired brothers had when it came to social justice. I will forever aspire to have their dedication. Our most sincere condolences to all who loved him. Kerry (nee Dotzert) & Peter Ippolito
