I served on the CUPE executive with Randy for a number of years and always appreciated his common sense and good humour. He was soft spoken and always kind to me. I think it's important that his kids know how well he was regarded and even though I haven't seen Randy in a number of years, I was very sad when I read his notice. Sending support to his lived ones.

Randy worked with me at the City of Windsor Child Care & was well loved by the children & staff. He was always joking around & the children would ask him to help clean. He organized a bus trip to to Lulu's Roadhouse in Kitchener for music & dancing. He was very proud of his children & shared with me about their lives. So sorry for your loss. I have a tremendous amount of great memories of Randy. My favorite one has to be back when Kyle played peewee football and me and my dad came to one of his games, Randy gave me he cushioned seat so I could watch Kyle play wrapped in a blanket with his mom. I loved seeing Randy and my dad laughing and talking with delight about their children. You will always be remembered. Wish I had a better picture of us even though this picture is very special to me because it was on my birthday. Best gift ever.

From Stephen Kurtz: Randy was a wonderful person. When he worked at Willar Carpets he was president of the Windsor Home Builders Association (1981). He sent flowers to my wife after the birth of our daughter (I was the Executive Director of the Home Builders) when we had our daughter. Lately, I used to see him with his buddies in the food court at the mall. He was a wonderful person and a very decent human being.

A truly beautiful Uncle. Uncle Randy was funny, fun, thoughtful and loving. Although separated by geography as I live on the Westcoast, Uncle Randy always made an effort to stay connected, either by phone calls or visits. I always felt close to him and really enjoyed our phone chats and visits. He will be missed by so many. I will never forget him and will always love him and remember him with a smile and a chuckle. Rest In Peace my dear Uncle. Cathy, Victoria BC

Worked with Randy at the City for many years in HR in Health & Safety. Randy had a great sense of humour, & was always a dedicated, go-to guy for anything. After his retirement, Randy would stop by the HR offices every now & then & those when word spread that he was on the premises those who knew him were delighted to drop what we were doing to catch up with him. He was very much missed. Condolences to his family.
