Obituary of David Michael "Dave" Doidge

Passed away on June 13, 2020 at the age of 71. Loving father of Kristin Renaud (Scott), Michael Doidge (Tara) and Dale Doidge (Alexis). Cherished Grandad of Lucas, Emma, Dylan and Grace. Dear brother of Derek Doidge (Kim) and the late Ron Doidge, 1999 (Bev) and uncle of Elizabeth and Melissa. Dave was retired from Windsor Police Services after over 30 years of dedicated service. Dave, alongside Mike Mackenzie, co-founded the Sandwich Teen Action Group in February 1991. Within the police force, Dave was heavily involved in the West End community as part of numerous charities and initiatives. Dave also spent many years as a volunteer and mentor at The House Youth Centre. Of all, Dave loved his time spent with his family and many friends. He will forever be remembered for his big laugh and generous heart. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Windsor Police Service, especially Constable Tim Kettlewell and constable Brett MacNeil. At Dave’s request, cremation has taken place.
