Dear Kathleen and family, I too share a deep loss with the passing of a classy friend and co-worker for 30 years at GM. We shared many hours of hard work (at times) and good laughs, and opinions on many topics. A few rounds of military golf(left/right), usually right. I'm sure Dave and Julio(Dad) will be sharing golf / dart stories together over a few beers and shots. I also would like to pass along my condolences not only for Dave, but also to Donna on her loss of Marco. Our thoughts and prayers, and God bless to all, sincerely, in sympathy, Jan and Diane Kwasnicki.

Kathleen , my sincere condolences to you and your family members for the passing of a great man . In FL at Tamiami Village I really enjoyed several games of golf and some socializing with Dave . May God welcome Dave into His kingdom and grant him peace , joy, and eternal life . May He also send the Holy Spirit to comfort you and your family members in the days ahead . It sure is strange time in our lives when we can’t pay respects when loved ones and friends cannot pay respects in person . If you hold a future memorial for Dave I sure hope to be there . Be well, God Bless Ron Arkell , Windsor

Growing up although you were in Canada and we were in England you and auntie kath were talked about often. I have such fond and vivid memories of you both as a child and an adult but I will never forget when your younger brother (my dad) had a massive stroke and you both cut short your holiday to be by his side. He recognised you immediately and was so happy he cried. For that I am eternally grateful as we had lost our mum a few years previously and although we were adults we still felt like lost little children coping with it and your love and support meant the world to us. So now I just want to say thank you and you will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope that now you have met with my dad again and all your other brothers and sisters and are looking down and protecting us all. Shine bright uncle David like the star that you are. Love always your niece Paula. Xxxx

Kath, Carolyn, Donna, Deb & all the rest of the family, I just can't express enough how heartbroken I am for all of you and for Dave/Dad that you all had to endure such a sudden extreme illness and now his loss. He was my quasi foster Dad for about 7 months along with Kath and I always felt comfortable when you guys took me into your home...like an extended family. Haha I remember him noticing my footprints in the snow that morning so many years ago when I snuck out of your house...the funny thing is, rather than give me a lecture or yell at me in all my teenage stupidity, he was (& so were you, Kath) very reasonable and it actually led to you guys welcoming me as one of your own for a period. I will never ever forget that because at the time, that was what kept me safe and on the right track. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences and sympathies.
