Obituary of Jeanne Marie Bisnaire

Bisnaire, Jeanne Marie

November 12, 1923 – November 13, 2023

Passed away peacefully at Extedicare Long Term Care Home in Tecumseh. Predeceased by five sisters Bea (Rosario Masse) 1981), Aurelia (Virgil Herzel 1983), Corinne (Rodolphe Rocheleau 1986), Bernice (Bill Bowers 19), Joanne (Tim Laird) and six brothers, Phil (Marguerite 2004), Paul (Denise 1989), Raymond (Betty), Robert (Jean 1987), Gerald (Carol) and Gerard (Janine). Left to remember by her sister Doris (Omer Parent) in Lasalle and brothers Rene (Raymonde) in Unionville and Joseph (Joanne Lachance) in Windsor. Remembered lovingly by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jeanne was born in Tilbury, Ontario to Joseph Bisnaire and Eugenie St. Denis.

Jeanne worked for the Bank of Montreal first in Windsor then in Montreal in the bank’s employee pension department which she headed. After 60 years in Montreal, Jeanne moved back to the Windsor-Essex region to be closer to family. While in Montreal, Jeanne was a volunteer with the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and other charitable organizations. She enjoyed the art scene in Montreal concerts, opera, theatre. Her travels took her to various parts of Europe and the Holy Land.

She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Having never married, family was most important in her life. She made it to 100 plus one day, perseverance!

As per Jeannes' wishes, cremation has taken place. 

A commemorative mass will be held on the long weekend in May, 2024. More details to be announced.
