I was about to mail a Christmas card to Jeanne when I found her obituary. We were neighbours and became friends on MacDonald Ave in Montreal. She was always ready for a good chat and was the best dressed woman in the building. I know the last years were a struggle for her. My condolences to all the family that she cherished, may she rest in peace.

Aunt Jean was so much more... to me, she was an amazing female role model in the thick of patriarchy. As a young girl in the 70's and 80's, I was in awe of her successes as an independent and strong women, her passion for her work and love of all life's experiences. Always one to lean in and offer her opinion, she set a remarkable example for me that I would often recall and draw from. She was one of the founding members of the tribe of Bisnaire Wonder Women (yes, I think this is a thing). Thank you for being a smart, witty, shining and sassy light - you will be a part of me forever.

She is missed by several Great Nieces and Nephews as well as a few GreatGreat Nieces and Nephews too.
She somehow always knew who belonged to who and was always interested in knowing what was going on in all our lives.
