Bob had a great influence on me, while working at Ford Motor Company. Always a delight, and always the voice of reason. You will be missed my friend. Wonderful times at Axe Lake. God speed!

Bob never refused to help anyone that needed anything,he always was there with out question,He is a gentleman and a loyal friend with alot of knowledge he passed on too many. His hunt camps that he hosted were legal and legendary and so filled with laughter it hurt.He is a excellent cook of wild game and fish,he loved to cook for anyone that steps threw his door..This man would hunt sun up to well past sundown,he always did well and filled the freezer. He has a great laugh that you can't forget just like Him..Oh Well .....is his favorite saying. So long my friend, keep the wind in your face..

So sorry - lots of memories of sailing with "Burkey", but the long ago windy 50-nm Indigo Race in Ohio where the forestay broke stands out., Hag & I ran to the bow & used spin halyards to keep the rig up, we went another 35-nm, even tacking from west to east to finish - !st in class & 2nd OA.. This was normal stuff on the BN! Dam I hate getting old - going to have shot & toast him.
