Obituary of Beverley-Ann Beatrice Oke

(nee Summers) Beloved wife and best friend of Hal, childhood sweethearts since 1956. Treasured mom and confidante of Kristen (Scott) Wilton; “Mom, you always were and always will be my everything”. Survived by her brother Gary (Barb) as well as many nieces and nephews. Bev graduated from Hotel Dieu’s class of ’61. She will be happily remembered by countless friends from her bowling and line dancing days, Prince Charles teachers, Goodlife Tecumseh Mall, Riverside Book Club and her Tai Chi group. Bev’s hobbies and talents included pencil sketching (Essex County barns and historic buildings) and knitting. She designed and hand crafted knit bears and dolls. She created numerous baby sweaters and blanket sets for WRH – Met Campus Gift Shop. She fulfilled her every dream and lived life to the fullest. Special thanks to Ila Day, her lifelong gal pal and confidante, for all her help and support. Thank you to Dr. Henry Fortuna and his staff as well as all the Healthcare workers who have been part of her journey, especially Hospice of Windsor who were there to comfort her at the end. At Bev’s request there will be no service or visitation. Cremation has been entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE (519-254-2585).
