Obituary of Robert James Hoffman

Passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital " Met. Campus on January 01, 2018 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Marcy and the late Carol (2000). Loving father of Robert Hoffman (Rachel) and stepfather of Corey, Christopher, Maggie Sheehan. Cherished "Big Grandpa" of Caleigh, Bobby, Charlotte and Andrew. Brother of Dianne Meloche (late Les), David Lupton (Sandi), Pat Lupton (Darlene), Heather Kocsis (Jim) and George Lupton (Pam). Bob will be missed by his Goddaughter Jenny Toop, many nieces and nephews, cousins and special cousin Theresa Hoffman Sartor. Bob was a Master Warrant Officer with the Royal Canadian Regiment for 23 years. "PRO PATRIA". More recently, Bob was a Correctional Officer with the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre in London, ON where he will be fondly remembered by many friends and colleagues. There will be a void in Bob"s neighborhood, he was everyone"s friend and lending hand " he will be missed by them all. At Bob"s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering to celebrate Bob"s life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 594, 5030 Howard Ave, Windsor, ON at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Transition to Betterness (T2B).
