Obituary of Charles Lewis

LEWIS, Charles (Charley) Howard Age 79, peacefully on September 24, 2014 with his friend Lynn by his side. Survived also by his former wife Brenda Atkinson of London, step-son Jonathan Walker and granddaughter Aveline both of Toronto. Predeceased by parents George and Ann (Springer) and brother George all of Long Island, NY where Charles was born. Charley had a wide range of interests as evidenced by his vast library. He was well-traveled and wore many hats along his life's path, among them, musician and singer, drummer and dancer, author and juggler, poet and punster, mystic and sage. Over the years he was a member of several spiritual traditions, notably the Sufi Order, and many healing ministries. Ever the teacher, he was always eager to share his knowledge and his views. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE 519-254-2585. A celebration of Charley's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1 at Unity Spiritual Centre of Windsor, 3640 Wells St. (at Prince Rd) N9C 1T9 to which, if you desire, memorial donations may be made.
