In the first half of his life, Mr. Lewis developed a systematic method for teaching juggling, and published (as Carlo Ludovico) the seminal "Juggling Book" (Vintage Books, 1974). Nearly 50 years later, it's still regarded as a classic. In person and by text, Charles Lewis taught myriads to juggle; many of them went on to teach others. Mr. Lewis's work helped to spark an explosion of interest in juggling in the United States; it has brought - and continues to bring - joy, delight and satisfaction to jugglers and their audiences all over the world.
