Obituary of Shirley Ann Kavanaugh (nee Shafar)

KAVANAUGH, Shirley Ann (SHAFAR) February 27, 1951- April 6, 2023 “When you think of me, smile” ~Shirley~ Our very precious, comical, loving and stubborn Shirley passed away on April 6, 2023, at the age of 72. Her grandchildren, (Konnor, Kamryn & Karter) were the joy of her life and they carry many fond memories of their Dede! Shirley will leave a hole in the hearts of her children Jeff, Greg & Kerrie; siblings Bernie Shafar, Betty Lachapelle, & Nancy Shafar (Epp); and her many nieces and nephews. She is also remembered by her close friends, and her co-workers from CIBC, where she worked for 50 years. She will be telling jokes and stories now in Heaven, with her parents, Steven & Teresa Shafar, and brothers, Albert & Ken Shafar. Cremation has been completed, and a celebration of Shirley’s life will be held in the very near future.
