Obituary of Roland Barrette

BARRETTE, Roland October 14, 1959 - July 1, 2022 62 years of Belle River passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022 with family and friends by his side after a brief illness with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Beloved father to Robert and Chantelle. Missed by brothers Richard (Marie), Jean-Claude (Andrea), and sister Rachelle (Mario). Uncle to many nieces and nephews including Erica, Andrew, and Christopher. He was employed by C.S.C.P. Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence. He will be fondly remembered by friends and colleagues at École E.J. Lajeunesse, a posting he enjoyed and held since the school’s beginnings. Roland loved the outdoors, ice fishing, snowmobiling, chicken and beekeeping, and hunting. He also had a talent to fix anything, especially if it had a motor in it. In his loving nature, there was always an activity at hand for all to enjoy. He will be remembered warmly by all who knew him. God Bless. As per Roland’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
