Obituary of Victor Charles "Vic" Maurice

MAURICE, Victor Charles "Vic" November 4, 1949 – February 1, 2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vic on February 1, 2022. Predeceased by his father Aubert (Pete) Maurice, mothers Angeline and Vivian, and brother-in-law Rick Bastien. Loved father of Chuck Maurice, Donna Pattison, and Julie Gagnon (Rodney). Proud Grandpa of Cait Quick (Alex) and Tyler Pattison; Brigitte Maurice; Andrea, Kevin, and Ryan Gagnon; and Proud Great-Grandpa of Ellie Quick. Dear brother of Berny Maurice, Carmen Maurice (Connie), and Angela Bastien (Bob Schmidt). Vic will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Vic worked as a truck driver for most of his career and was employed for many years with Shea Bros. until his retirement in 2014. He made many friends during his trucking years. He enjoyed listening to classic rock, fishing, playing cards, and watching car racing, hockey, and football with his family and friends. In his last years, he also loved being able to wheel over to Blue Heron Lake and see the ducks and other waterfowl. He recently enjoyed watching the birds gathering at the new birdfeeder outside his window. Vic was also happy listening to stories and updates about his grandchildren and great-grandchild and sharing memories of good times with other family members. As per Vic’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or service. He would prefer you to celebrate his life in your own way (go fishing, play euchre, etc.) or by doing something you enjoy with your family and friends.
