Obituary of Albina Millar
MILLAR, Albina Albina died peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She is survived by Bill, her loving husband of 67 years, her son Scott Millar (Judy), her daughter Barbara Mero (Bob), her grandson Nathan Mero (Brittany) and her granddaughter Nathalie Mero. She is predeceased by her parents, Mary and Steven Studak and her brother Walter Studak. She leaves behind her loving cousins, Nancy and Mary in Hamilton, ON. Albina was a loving and dedicated wife/mother/grandmother to her family. Her interests were mainly in the arts, pursuing vocal and violin lessons and performances under the guidance of her father and various music teachers. She encouraged and attended the many performances that her children and grandchildren performed in music and dance. No one turned down a meal at her home as she made the best pork roast, sarma, and Croatian cookies. She loved her garden, sharing many perennials and cuttings with neighbours, family and friends. She loved to shop for beautiful things for her home and specifically loved the deals she could find while on vacation in Florida or shopping in the Detroit area. Her early adult years were spent working as a secretary for department store buyers which heightened her desire for quality goods and an impeccable home. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than family achievements and successes, bragging to anyone who would listen. Her encouragement knew no bounds. We will miss her love most of all. Albina’s family would like to give special thanks to Julie and Elisha for their kind and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585.
