I was very saddened to learn of Albina’s passing. I first met Al back in the 60s when I first began to date my future wife, Betty, who was Al’s first cousin. I remember how hospitable she and Bill were to me by inviting Betty and I over for dinner and how full of joy Al always was. Over the years she was a gracious and generous hostess whenever we were in Windsor. Betty and I reciprocated by inviting them to visit us in Ottawa and elsewhere. I fondly remember our adventures in the late 70s when Betty and I, Al, Bill and their daughter, Barb, drove from Stuttgart, West Germany to Karlovace, Yugoslavia to visit Betty and Al’s Aunt Anka and her family. Al was always cheerful, upbeat and full of fun and she will be sorely missed by many. Emil Koteles

Our heartfelt condolences go to Bill, Scott, Barb and family .We were saddened to hear of Albina passing. Our family history goes back a long way starting in Croatia and to the time our dad (Pete) and his brother Joe (our uncle) lived in Windsor where they were regulars in the Studak family. Our father talked so fondly of Albina and her brother Wally. He particularly mentioned the chocolate cake Albina would always make and treat them on their visits to the Studaks. That connection continued for many years with annual and sometimes biannual visits to Hamilton by Bill and Albina. How we looked forward to their visits! We revisited the past and heard updates on the recent events of their children and grandchildren. Albina was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother/grandmother. We will always remember Albina with love and respect. May she rest in peace. Love from cousins Nancy and Mary with family.
