Obituary of Evelyn Emily Benson

BENSON, Evelyn Emily December 30, 1932 - July 15, 2021 It is with heavy and broken hearts, we the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Evelyn Emily Benson (nee Pare) share with you her sudden but peaceful passing on July 15th, 2021 at the Blessed age of 88. MOM/MEME was our LIGHTHOUSE on this earth, a timeless role model who gave and received wholeheartedly. She was our greatest guide, and there is no doubt we would not be the men and women we are today without her light. We honour this amazing woman who, no matter what, always led us home. Evelyn was the forever dedicated mom of 5; Allan & wife Denise Benson, Debbie & husband Keith Langill, Gregory & wife Sheila Benson, Barbara & husband Kevin Baker and Patti Bustamante (George). Predeceased by her parents George & Marguerite Pare. Loved Meme to 12 grandchildren Allan Benson (Sarah), Kevin Baker (Amie), Gregory Benson (Cari), Glen Baker (Inga), Renar Benson (Tori), Christina Bustamante, Aaron Langill, Iliana Bustamante (Matt), Catherine/Charlie Langill, Parker Benson, Marissa Benson and predeceased by her precious baby grandson Cooper Benson (2006). Great-Meme to Hudson, Hayes & Hadley Baker and Gregory Benson. Dear sister of Bernadette Emery (the late Leo), Genevieve & husband Wayne Scameheorn. Predeceased by brothers Blaise Pare, John Pare (Rita) & George Pare (Bonnie), and her sisters Marie Louise Nicodemo (Wilfred), Margaret Maisonville (Frank), Phoebe Robinet (Blaise) & Dorothy Perry (Albert). Evelyn will also be greatly missed by her extended family and friends. Special thanks to her niece Laurie Callander for her loving care and to the dedicated nursing staff of 6th floor and ICU at Windsor Regional Met Campus. Thank you all for loving our mom while she walked this earth and honouring her now with the many fond memories you hold dear in your hearts. To honour Evelyn’s wishes, she has been cremated and a private service has taken place. Evelyn loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. Therefore, if so desired, donations may be made to The Ronald McDonald House or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice (Dougall), 519-254-2685.
