I just heard through the firm about Steve. We were good colleagues and friends at one time, but we then made our way slowly Westward. However, I can still hear his unique laugh in my head. And we will never ever forget the adventure when he helped my buy a boat in Toledo Ohio, clear customs in Windsor, and the two of us brought it back through the Lakes to Orillia, and with a lot of luck, (Steve would say skill) actually made it. Thinking of you Ruth...Gary and Sandra Nott

So sorry to hear of the passing of Steve. My deepest condolences. Steve was a wonderful man, always enjoyed our conversations at Duffy's and the Legion. I will miss that and his laugh. He came to see me before we closed to tell me goodbye. I was honoured that he thought of me as a friend. My sympathy Ruth, thinking of you. Laura M (his Duffy's girl)

My sincerest condolences on Steve’s passing. I worked with Steve at Touche Ross ‘back in the day’. To this day I still use “Steveisms” when training up my staff. He will not be forgotten. Cheryl H.

I knew Steve best when he was first married to Ruth and when Scott came along. We were a group of friends who all got married around the same time and had our first born around the same time as well. We had jolly times together, playing dominoes, laughing, dancing and drinking together at each other's homes. I remember well Steve's basement that he had turned into a bar and dance party area, strobe lights and all. We often gathered there and at his above ground pool where we congregated with our young families. Steve, with the help of just a few other people, or maybe just Gwyn Davies built it all himself so that we could all enjoy ourselves more at his welcoming home. He was a great host, full of fun and laughter especially when he had a Black Label beer in his hands. We were a jolly group of very good friends. We lost touch over the years but recently we reconnected. I was so happy to hear that Steve carried his joy of life and friendship over to his wonderful family, showing them different experiences that they could all cherish and remember. Family, finance and fun certainly expresses the kind of person Steve was, deep in his heart, we were all loved and cared for.......thank you Steve for a life well lived and loved........your old friend.......Lynne Rochon, PEC, Ontario.
