Obituary of Barbara Ann Whatley

Barbara passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021 at the Hospice of Windsor after a courageous battle with cancer. Before her passing she wanted to share the following: I leave this world in gratitude for the wonderful life that I was privileged to live. I leave behind my beloved son Christopher and my two beloved daughters April and Amanda. Also left behind are my adored brothers John and Jack, as well as my loving nieces and grandchildren, Ruby, Jessica, Jennifer and Sadie. Of course my gratitude would not be complete without acknowledging my Mum, Dad and my brother Raymond who left us too soon. Finally I have been blessed with the most wonderful friends imaginable. All of whom accompanied me on some or all of this journey. Most heartfelt gratitude must go to my primary caregivers; Doug, Janis, John, Jack, Sherry, Norma and Susan. With of course gratitude to all my friends who helped in so many ways with calls, cards, visits, flowers, emails, etc. Because of their kindness and compassion I felt constantly uplifted. I extend gratitude to the entire medical team whose expertise and caring kept me comforted and comfortable as this journey progressed. I wish all of my family and friends healthy and happy lives. At Barbara's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Barbara's life will take place when health restrictions allow. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585.
