Obituary of Eric Wayne Widdifield

WIDDIFIELD, Eric Wayne November 8, 1943 - March 22, 2021 With deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Eric, at home on March 22, 2021 at the age of 77, with his loving wife Georgette of 55 years, and family by his side. Father of Gordon (Ynes), Christine Prince (Paul), and stepfather to Pierre Horth (Denise). Grandfather of Gabriel, Kassidy (John) and Julia (Tori), Andre (Sabrina), the late Philippe, and great grandfather of Scarlette, Parker, Zachary and Sofia. Eric was born in Windsor to Helen and Mackenzie King. Dear brother to the late Laura (Brad), Colin (Lisa), Larry (Marilyn), and Debbi (David). He will also be missed by his many cousins and nephews and all of his friends all around the world. Eric earned a business degree from McGill University in Montreal, QC. He worked as a bank manager in Montreal, Nassau Bahamas, Grenada, and throughout Canada. He later retired in Windsor. He was the founder of Burger King Junior Golf Tour in 1988, which took place for over 20 years. Eric loved golf and loved playing with his family and friends. As per Eric's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be celebrated with family in the near future. We would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Burgess and the staff at Hospice of Windsor, LHIN - St. Elizabeth, Dr. Naji, Dr. Trang, Dr. Roselyn Walpool, as well as all of the nurses and PSW's that helped care for Eric.
