Obituary of George Ponic Sr.

PONIC, George Sr. April 28, 1926 - March 17, 2021 We say goodbye for now, to our father, George Ponic Sr., on March 17, 2021 at 94 years of age. Our hearts are full from knowing the love of a gentle soul and we will carry the most wonderful memories with us always. Loving husband of the late Dorothy Jean Ponic (1977). Loving father of the late James Ponic (2020) (Annette), the late George Ponic Jr. (2000) (Lucille), Margaret Levesque (Frank), Janice Lapointe (Serge) and Laurie Lacoursiere (Robert). Grandpa to Steven Ponic, Joe Ponic (Jenn), Chipper Ponic (Nicole), Jeff Ponic (Tiffany), Matt Ponic (Melissa), James Parker (Nat), Danica Parker (Ben), Mike Lapointe (Jen), Trevor Lapointe, Chuck Lacoursiere (Helen), Alisha Lacoursiere (Matt) and Nick Lacoursiere. Son of the late Emil and Zdenka "Jenny" Ponic. Brother of the late Emily and Charlie Perry, the late Steven and Mary Ponic, and William Ponic (the late Doris, 2014). Survived by many great grandchildren and fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. The family is grateful for the compassion, love and care given to Dad while he lived in the Tecumseh Village of Aspen Lake; he received care above and beyond our expectations. Thank you!
