Dear Helen and family My sincere condolences on the death of your husband Dad and grandfather. I know Evan has not been well for some time and that you had a long wonderful relationship with him and I’m sure he will be missed. It’s not many who can reach 56 years of marriage. He has had a good successful productive life and I’m sure you have many wonderful memories to sustain you during this difficult time of loss. It’s wonderful that you have Heather as your pal and helper. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers . If there’s anything I can do please let me know maybe we could go for a walk at Brunet Park. All the best Victoria Michie

Helene and family, we know how much Evan will be missed and offer our condolences in your loss but we also know that you will forever hold great family memories of your life with Evan. He was a wonderful neighbour and friend. I can still see Evan working in the garage on his many woodworking projects and climbing to the top of the antenna to fix a broken guide wire when we 1st moved into the neighbourhood ...... and that was when he was in his 80's! An incredible man and a true gentleman. Cheers to our friend and neighbour on Cabot Ave.

Evan was the Superintendent of Schools for my area when I was first appointed as a principal. He was a kind warm empathetic human being whose kindness and sense of humour brightened the lives of everyone he knew. My deepest sympathy to Helene and the family. I know that that he will be deeply missed.
