I visited Jacques and his family only a couple times as a child with my parents, Bob and Michele (Anctil) McAllister but what I remember most was his smile and laughter. My deepest condolences.

Jacques was my grade 8 teacher in 1976. He was a great man. My memory of him was pacing the floor, always chewing gum while teaching and singing the wrong words to songs while we were working on our assignments. We would try to correct him but that would always make it worse. He was like a dad to all of us. My deepest sympathy to the family. Rest in peace Mr. Anctil. Sincerely, Denise Bellaire.

Jacques I will miss you. I remember when dad pretended that he broke his arm. You driving from Canada, Andre from Saint Clare Shores and Serge from Southgate because he would not go to the Hospital. Then dad told them he would go to the hospital after after a shot. So Jacques you asked where the bottle was. So dad took his arm out of the sling and pointed over there. You guys laughed and partied till the next day.

When Jacques was playing hockey at Windsor arena. Some guy started fighting him. Our mother jumped into the ring to stop it. The referee made mom get off the ice and told her he would kick her out. Jacques laughed his head off

Uncle Jacques, I wish I could of told you a few things. First off, thank you. I would not be in my line of work if you didn't tell me I had a knack for this. With all the mistakes I have made, I found my way back to correct my wrongs with using my head. Like you suggested. You were always so kind to me, no matter what was going on. Thank you for being there for me when I needed someone. May you find peace and an abundance of happiness.

My memories as a kid of uncle Jacques... He was a great Santa lol.! Also, My dad brought us kids to many labour day gatherings at uncle J’s and the family which I will always remember in fondness. Personally, I had the opportunity of having uncle Serge as my hockey coach for a spell in Detroit which I loved but also wished I could have also had Uncle Jacques as my coach. I remember dad bringing me to watch one of uncle J’s hockey games way back when. Ah yes, I think and picture him smoking cigars and his contagious laughter during our visits. RIP uncle Jacques, you will be missed by myself and everyone here on the west coast. A note to all my cousins, huggs and love to everyone during these hard times. Feel free to call anytime even if it’s just to say hi. Love you all Guy.
