Obituary of Wenda Jayne Anton (nee Walling)

ANTON, Wenda Jayne (nee Walling) April 14, 1940 - January 8, 2021 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wendy Anton share the news of her passing. Following a short illness, Wendy peacefully left us on January 8th at 80 years old. Predeceased by the love of her life Robert Lesperance. Daughter of the late Ernest and Jane Walling. Loving Mother of David (Deb), John (Kim) and Kathy Lyons (Don). Loving Nana of Emily, Matthew, Shjon, Eric and Caitlin. Dear sister of Carolyne (the late Byron) Rourke and the late Hugh (Cathy) Walling. Wendy had a special bond with her cousin, and best friend, Donna (Gary) Meunier. She will miss her many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with the gift of a wonderful group of friends and amazing neighbours. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to you all for your kindness, care, and the joy that you brought her. Wendy’s passion was gardening and her backyard; enjoying the deck or working out of the Irish potting shed that Bob and she built together. She pampered her plants, welcomed the birds, especially the cardinals, and chased away the pesky squirrels. Special thanks to Dr. Janet Pope, Dr. Dan Barasic and Dr. Gary Ing, as well as Kim and Belle for their care and support. We would also like to thank the overworked doctors, nurses and hospital staff who took care of Wendy, kept us informed and helped us FaceTime with our mom. As per Wendy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be considered for a later date when the world will be a safer place to gather and embrace each other; something Wendy would have loved.
