Obituary of Susan Farron

FARRON, Susan October 23, 1941 - January 2, 2021 It is with heavy weight and deep conflicted emotion that we announce the passing of Susan Farron (nee Stone). Born October 23rd 1941 and passed January 2nd 2021. Survived and Predeceased by The Farron, Stone and Matheson clans - many larger than life characters filled with charisma, song, humor, deep love and melancholy. Hers was a journey experienced in many sonnets and emotional states. At her best, in her life’s purpose; a mother bear of 6 children, steadfast in the role of protecting us from the world and all that she saw as threats to our well being. She was also a daughter, a sister, a wife, a cousin, great/grandmother and a friend whose connections were always deep and authentic. With a brilliant and creative mind, she wrote so very eloquently and read voraciously. She loved the music of her time and our home was often filled with the sounds of the great poets, emoting and expressing through song. We struggled and experienced in unison, her fears of the outside world - and the inevitable retreats to solitude. She perpetually battled darkness in the form of worry and anxiousness that ultimately stole away much of her essence. Today, we reflect and try to make sense of the pain, the contradiction, the separation and find the moral to the story. Healing is deeply personal and unique for everyone, with similar highs and lows, perhaps less obviously so. We bid you “so long” Mumsie, please find your peace, sing , dance, celebrate and be free from all of the weight. We will gather in you honor soon, just as you wished.
