Obituary of Michael Francis Gillis

Michael was born on June 13, 1953, and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 28, 2020 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of 42 years to Debbie (nee Pender). Loving father to Tara Paquette (Jeff) and Ryan Gillis (Nikki) and cherished Grandpa to Tristan, Payton and Evelyn. Predeceased by his parents Florence and John Gillis. Dear brother to John Gillis (Annette), the late Don Gillis (Carolyn), Ed Gillis (Chris), the late Bob Gillis and Theresa Lussier (Tim). Dear son-in-law to the late Evelynne and Raymond Pender. Mike will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and close friends. Mike retired from Canada Post 12 years ago after 40 years of service. He had a passion for camping with his family, fishing, and sailing model sailboats with the Windsor Model Yacht Club. As per Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Hospice of Windsor.
