Obituary of Daniel Halliday

Passed away peacefully at Chateau Park Long Term Care Home on December 1, 2020 after a brief illness and hospitalization at the age of 95. Predeceased, and now reunited with his loving wife Mary Halliday. Caring father of Danny, Ronald and wife Wendy, Mary and husband Gary, David and wife Lisa. Loving grandfather of Rosemary, Leila, Bob, Danielle, Jennifer, Marybeth, Thomas, Tara, Isaac, and Danny. Daniel defended our freedom as a proud member of the Scots Guards during the Second World War. He was a proud Scotsman but immigrated with his young family to Canada in hopes of providing them a better future. He went on to a career as a transport driver. He retained his heritage as one of the founding members of the Scottish Society of Windsor. Special thanks go out to the caring staff at Chateau Park and his previous residence Devonshire Seniors Residence for their special care and consideration in the later years of Daniels life. Cremation has occurred and the family is hoping to carry out a celebration of his life once circumstances allow.
