Obituary of Brian M. Williams

Born April 9th, 1950. Brian passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020 at home with family at his side at the age of 70. Loving Husband of Pamela (nee Guenot) for 50 years. Beloved Father of sons; Scott and wife Cathy, and Paul and wife Jenn. Devoted Papa of Granddaughters; Hope, Eavenly, and Kate, and Grandson Erik. Brother of late Wayne, late Guy, and sister Gail Zampa. Son of June and the late Gord Williams. Loving Uncle to so many nieces and nephews. As a grandfather, Brian treasured the traditions he had with his grandchildren of apple picking, fishing, cooking, baking, and just being together. Being together with all his grandchildren and family in Myrtle Beach for vacation not too long ago was one of his favourite memories at a place where Brian and Pam created so many of their own memories together over years. Brian loved his brother Wayne unconditionally and cherished every moment he spent with him on their outings to Point Pelee. Brian (or Mr. Wiz) back in the day, will be remembered for his dedication to coaching and mentoring kids in hockey and baseball in Essex and for coaching soccer in Stoney Point in more recent years. For sacrificing himself by attending numerous rock concerts with his sons and friends in their teenage years. For making the best pizza in the Cottam and Essex area when he opened the original Calabria Pizzeria to Cottam. And for serving up cocktails behind his bar at his annual Margaritaville parties. Brian’s final occupation in life as a school bus driver turned out to be his most rewarding, as he absolutely loved driving and talking to the school kids everyday and hearing the little ones cheer when he pulled up: “Mr. Brian! Mr. Brian!”. Brian will be sadly missed by family and friends. As per Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations may be made to The Hospice of Windsor or Windsor Regional Hospital’s Cancer Program. At this time the Williams Family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585.
