Obituary of Rebecca Lapsy Pennycook

Rebecca Lapsy Pennycook at the age of 99, passed away peacefully in the kind and gentle care of Franklin Gardens Long Term Care Home in Leamington, ON. Born in Glasgow, Scotland to Ralph and Elizabeth. Moving to Windsor at a young age, along with her parents and brothers; Charles (1943), Ralph (2004) and Thomas. Survived by her nephews; Bruce (Madeline) of Kingsville, Richard (Wendy) of Tecumseh and Maryann (2019) (Michael John) of LaSalle and extended family. Rebecca served in the Air Force and had clerical jobs in the Windsor area. She devoted over 45 years of volunteered service in the Gift Shops of Grace, Hotel-Dieu and Windsor Regional Hospital. Rebecca enjoyed her outings and time spent at the Senior Centre on McEwan. The family wishes to extend many thanks to the staff at Franklin Gardens for their care for Rebecca, especially during this pandemic. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held in Rebecca's honour. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Kingsville) 519-254-2585.
