Obituary of Ethel May Lucie Nantais

NANTAIS, Ethel May Lucie December 15, 1937-September 6, 2020 Our beloved Mother left this world on her own terms and when she was ready. Her wish was to be home for her final days. She was so strong and so brave 'till the very end. There wasn't a day she wasn't surrounded by love. Sunday, September 6, 2020 she took her last breath with her daughters by her side. Predeceased by her Brother Clarence, Father Laurent Nantais (1965), Mother Ethel Nantais (1988), Brother Larry Nantais (1995), Sister Marlene Head (2015), and her beloved Son Gary LaRocque (2019). She leaves behind her children Sherry Oswald (Kenny), Adrien LaRocque, Carey LaRocque, Diane Cadarette (Herman), Gerald Jr. LaRocque (Donna), Rene LaRocque, Shelley Matlock (Tracy), and Gord Martin Jr. Ethel had eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, all whom she loved very much. Ethel is survived by her siblings Carol Powell, Patricia Tessier, Lucielle Smallenberg, Joyce Ganney, Catherine Nantais, and Jimmy Nantais. She will be so missed and never forgotten. Special thanks to her dear friend Kathy Tereschuk who was always there for her, especially this last year when she needed you most. We love you so much; you became family. We would also like to thank Aunti Candi for your Saturday night nurse duties and your warmth and sweetness with our Mom. A special thank you to Hospice and the VON nurses Susan, John, Vicki, Drew, and Jessica for your kindness and care for our Mom. At Ethel's request, cremation has taken place.
