DOWNES, Walter J. March 24, 1940-August 14, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter Downes at the age of 80. Beloved Husband of Yvonne (nee Brunelle) with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage. Loving and Devoted Father of Debbie, Connie (Jim Chittle), Robert "Moose" (Danielle) and Anne-Marie. Cherished Pepe of Christopher, Brittany, Kaylee, Courtney, Seth and the late Joshua. Loving Great Grandfather of Charlotte. Predeceased by his parents Walter Sr. and Irene (nee Lessard). Brother of Andy (the late Joan), John (Janice), Rita, Pauline, Sheila (Mike) and Sally. Preceased by his brothers Russell "Guy" and Michael. Walter will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He will be forever remembered for his love of a good conversation, his meticulous work as a painter for more than 61 years and his great love of his family.
