To John and Paul, I just came across the obituary for Jim. So sorry for your loss. I lost track of Jim after you moved to Leamington. But I have many memories of you guys, and esp Jim, when you lived in Comber. Jim and I were in the same grade at school. We always competed to be top student in our class! I spent a lot of Saturdays playing at your place and at the brick yard! I remember we made a grass house at the brick yard and nearly drowned in an old boat in one of the ponds there. The water was just knee deep, but we thought we were drowning when the boat took on water. One of the Ward boys saved us. I was more afraid of snakes than drowning. Your parents looked after me when my mom had both Doug and Nancy. I remember playing Hide and Seek in the caskets!! Scary! Jim stayed with us when your parents went away on a trip. Lots of memories. I am retired from teaching and live in Haliburton, On. with my husband. Judy is a retired nurse living in Lindsay, Doug is in Furniture and lives on an island near Parksville, B. C., and Nancy is retired from teaching HS and lives near Blenheim on a farm with her husband. It all seems like yesterday that we were all living in Comber, but many moons have passed since then. I have an adult daughter and son, Lisa and Kent. I see where Jim was involved with volunteer work at several places in Windsor. Good for him. You guys have been in my thoughts recently. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Jane (Dobbyn) Miller Here is my email address if you want to get in touch: je.miller42@outlook,com
