Obituary of Dale Gordon King

Passed away July 27, 2020 at Windsor Regional Hospital (Ouellette Campus) at the age of 77. Survived by devoted daughter Melissa (Shawn Weldon), cherished son Johnny (Patti King), adored grandchildren Carter, Sam, and Vivi, and dear friends Rob and Carole Anne. Dale was a complex man who had his faults, but also many talents. With a B.A. in History, Dale was a man who loved people and their stories. He also had an incredible gift with animals and was a highly intelligent man. Having left this world after a 7-month fight in the hospital, Dale now rests with his loving parents Gordon and Elizabeth. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of the staff in the ICU, and the 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors at Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus, who showed great care and compassion all whilst dealing with a pandemic in an already overwhelmed, understaffed and broken medical care system. If so desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made in Dale’s name, to The Canadian Mental Health Association and/or The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society.
