Obituary of Francis Charles Long

Charlie gave his final 10-4 on July 8, 2020 at 77 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Lily (2019) with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Dedicated Dad of "Charlies Angels", Theresa (Bill), Michelle (Chris) and Christine (George). Some of his most favorite times were spent with his 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, sharing firefighter stories and what the world should be according to Grandpa. Oldest brother and hero to 5 sisters and 5 brothers. Charlie will also be missed by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Charlie "XJG97" retired after 30 years of dedicated service as Captain from the Windsor Fire Department. He also was a proud and hardworking member of St. Vincent de Paul. At Charlie's request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Charlie's life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585.
