Obituary of Paul Robert Charles Janisse

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday May 31, 2020. He is reunited with the love of his life Geri (2011) who is once again singing a beautiful Irish tune to him. Pre-deceased by parents Guy and Blanche Janisse, Son Andre Janisse, son Paul Janisse, Brother Ray Janisse and sister-in-law Trudy, Brother Eugene Janisse and sisters-in-law Yvonne Janisse and Pat Kindle and, brothers-in-law Timothy McVeigh, Danny McVeigh and granddaughter Jessica Nethery. Survived by his children daughter-in-law Kathy Wood (Todd 2020), Brenda and husband Rick Grant, son Greg, Jerome and wife Michelle, Linda and husband Bert Nethery, Mary and husband Chris Colthurst. John, Chris and wife Laura. Also Survived by 27 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survived by siblings Lawrence Janisse (Shirley 2014), Fr.Wilfred Janisse, John and Marylyn Janisse, and Jeanine and Yvan Gauvin, and In-laws John McVeigh, Sharon and Vern Warren, and Kathy and Kerry Fraser. Paul will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Paul was an amazing Father, grand-father and Uncle. His favorite time was the time he spent with family, on trips, family gatherings and evenings at home. He was the founder and owner for 27 years of three locations of Janisse Hobby and Toy Shops in Windsor. Children from all over would come with their parents to check out all the toys and play with the slot cars. He was in the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member and Past Commodore of the Windsor Yacht Club where he and Geri had many wonderful times with a great circle of close friends. Special thanks to Dr, Anees and Dr. Burgess and nurses Alex and Gina for their dedication and compassion in caring for Paul. Cremation has taken place and a Mass of Resurrection and celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Wyandotte) 519-254-2585.
