Jerry Schmidt What a great obit, which speaks well of the writers but more so about the man and a life well lived. Henry and I were very close friends as teen agers / young men, which continued on after we both got married, but our paths only occasionally crossed after we moved away in 1972. I was a regular passenger in his ‘49 Hudson, which was our transportation for double dating, and we could fit his 250cc motorcycle in the back seat and almost close the door. Margaret and I have great memories of water skiing trips in Kapuskasing with Henry and Bonny. I have been going through old photographs recently, seeing Henry and his great smile. On a number of our trips back to Leamington I would see Henry at his weekly lunch at Jose’s with friends. He was a great friend from my youth, and a great man throughout his life. Many good memories.

Mr. Reimer was one of my favourite teachers at KDHS. He was always so patient and kind. He was also a wonderful chiropractor to my parents for many years and helped my mom when she was in excruciating pain with her back. I will always be grateful for that. I am so sorry for your loss and I will remember him fondly.

i proudly called Henry my Uncle. He gave me my first motorcyle ride. Put me on his shoulders to water ski as I continually fell in the water on my own. He was forced to play continuous games of chinese checkers just to appease me but that was the person he was. He was one of the best . Deb
