Obituary of Johan Wynands

It is with profound sadness that the family of John Wynands announces his passing on May 13th, 2020 at Erie Shores Healthcare in Leamington, ON. John was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1967. He was upbeat and jovial, making friends wherever he went. He was a retired Industrial Electrician, having worked for Windsor Salt Mine. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years Diny (nee Damstra), his son Michel (Vicki) and his daughter, Sandra. He was also a wonderful Opa to Alexandra and Johnathon. The family would like to thank Dr. Neville Crane for his tireless efforts towards John's care. They would also like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Erie Shores Healthcare, who made John's final days more comfortable. If you so desire, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Cremation and a private family gathering has already taken place.
