Obituary of Joan Lee Fowler (Nee Filsinger)

FOWLER, Joan Lee (nee Filsinger) Feb 19 1969 - May 10 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving Joan. Peacefully with her family by her side in her 52nd year on May 10th, 2020. Beloved wife and best friend to Brad Fowler. Cherished mother to Zachary Whipple (Aryana) and Hannah Fowler. Loving Grandmother of Mia. Predeceased by parents Otto (1995) and Gladys (2011) Filsinger of Waterdown. Sister to Dave McKenzie (Lisa). Daughter in law to Bob and Carrol Fowler, Sister in law of Kyle (Jessica) Fowler. Special friend to Debra Farbas. Joan will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers and fellow teammates. She will be forever missed by friends Lisa Young, Beth Charette and Kristy Alves. Joan was truly an amazing person, a bright light with a zest for life that touched so many lives. She lived to help others. She was passionate about fundraising and was the captain of a 6-time award winning team for CIBC Run for the Cure. Joan loved an adventure, enjoyed her trips with her family and could navigate to any destination. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
