Obituary of John Charles Thompson

Passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2020 with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Gaye. Loving father of Robin (Lyle), Holly, Julie (Todd) and Joshua. Cherished Grandpa of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. John was a member of the Ontario Professional Firefighter Association and he retired as the Deputy Fire Chief of Chatham Kent. John was instrumental in the process of bringing 911 emergency services to Chatham Kent. He had a passion for restoration and preservation of the community's history. At John's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of John's life will take place at a later date.
