Obituary of Frederick Nixon
Frederick J. Nixon, passed away peacefully March 23, 2020 at the age of 82. Fred was born June 14, 1937 in Arthur ON and grew up in Fergus ON. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy and ultimately settled in Windsor, ON. Fred was a Stationary Engineer at Kelsey-Hayes Canada for 25 years and was active in Union business at the plant. Additionally, Fred coached minor lacrosse in the 1970’s, and was an avid lifelong horseman. Fred was always willing to lend a hand and support those around him. Beloved father to Justin and Dean, and loving grandfather to Griffyn and Jacob. He leaves behind his sisters, Patricia Ham (late Don), Susan Stahlbaum (Ron), Margaret Paisley (Bill), and brother Daniel (Betty). Predeceased by brother Melvin “Bud”, and sister Jane England. Fred will be fondly remembered by Bud’s wife Sandra, Jane's husband Jim, and his former spouse Sheilah and the Morrison family. He will be dearly missed and always remembered by many nieces, nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Fred’s life will take place at a later date.
