Obituary of Sydney Marie Riehl
With broken hearts, Linda Bordian and John Riehl announce the passing of their beautiful daughter, Sydney Marie Riehl, on February 4, 2020. Loving daughter of Fred Schweitzer and Shelley Leadley Riehl. Devoted sister and best friend of Spencer Riehl and Lisa Hamilton. Cherished granddaughter of John and Betty Bordian, George Johrendt and the late Anna Riehl Johrendt (2018), and the late Roland Riehl (2009). Beloved niece of Doris Riehl and Winston Yip, Lisa Bordian-McLean and the late Jeff McLean (2005), Lori Bordian-Moulder and Kevin Moulder, Melanie and Daniel Colella, and cousin to Jenna, Connor, and Alivia (Yaya) Moulder. Dear stepsister to Carley Schweitzer, Derek Schweitzer, Reed and Kristen Renaud, Austen and Jocelyne Renaud, and Jade Renaud and Ahmed El-Mokadem. She will be sadly missed by Justin, Sam, Denisa, Angela, Paulina, all her wonderful friends in Calgary, and also those at The Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie, Alberta. She also leaves behind Sully, her beloved and spirited Golden Retriever. Sydney battled cancer with the same unrivalled determination, grace, and passion in which she lived her life. She loved lying in the sun, walking on the beach, hiking in the mountains, going to concerts, and watching the Pats. Her adventurous, fun-loving spirit and profound insight are just a few of the reasons Sydney will be forever in our hearts. One day we will ride motorcycles and bungee jump again. Sydney's family is truly grateful for the outstanding care she received from the doctors and nurses at the London Health Science Centre, London, Ontario. They would also like to recognize Adriana and all the nurses from Paramed, and Dr. Bergeron and Hospice of Windsor for their endless devotion to Sydney. In honour of Sydney's diligence and dedication to The Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie, Alberta, donations would be appreciated at the following link: (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/4148) SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585.
