Franca Palomba (née Policella)

December 27, 1949 – December 25, 2023  

It is with profound sadness that we announced the passing of Franca Palomba (née Policella) at the age of 73. Loving wife of the late Giovanni “John” Palomba (2022) for 54 years. Devoted mother to the light of her life, Jackie Lynn Verro, and husband Marco whom she loved and adored like a son. Franca is predeceased by her dear parents, Antoniette and Luca; baby son, John-Paul; and siblings, Guido Policella (Beatrice), Joan Policella, Joe Policella (Maria), Nino Policella (Nina), Mario Policella (Michelina), and Luciano Policella. Survived by dear brother Harold (Anna) of Leamington. Franca will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Franca emigrated from Italy at the age of five and grew up in Leamington. Franca was a talented and respected businesswoman. She began her career working in the property management sector. Later, Franca owned Marilyn Brooks Boutique where she kindly shared her fashion tips with her dedicated clientele. She also volunteered her time with Justice for Victims of Crime for many years. Franca was always happy, smiling, and had a zest for life. She often enjoyed singing and dancing on special occasions. In her spare time, she was an avid reader keeping informed about an array of subjects of interest. True to her name, she was frank, honest, and straightforward. Franca’s strength, warmth, and kindness will be missed by all, particularly her daughter who took such good care of Franca. Franca is now reunited in the glories of Heaven with her husband, son, parents, and siblings.
