Gerard Nelson Lalande

September 19 1956 - December 15 2023

Surrounded by his family on December 15, 2023, Gerard Lalande received his eternal wings following a long battle with cancer.

Gerry will be forever missed by wife Debbie, daughters Amanda Fowler (Mike), Melissa Lalande (Corey) and Rebecca Wade (Corey). Gerry is the cherished Papa of Riley, Hunter, Sofia, Gabriella and Zachary.

Gerry is predeceased by his parents Nelson and Fleurette Lalande and brothers Robert and Andre Lalande, He is survived by siblings Aurore, Roger, Dennis, Claude, Claudette, Rose, Norman, Lucille.

Gerry enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed his time hunting and fishing. He was known as "Mr. Fix lt", always willing to help others out of the goodness of his heart. He enjoyed hosting back yard BBQs and sharing time with family and friends. Gerry will be remembered by his love of sharing jokes and making people laugh. His personality was contagious and his smile lit up the room.

Special thanks to Dr. Elalem, Dr. Nasser and his team at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre as well as to the exceptional staff at Windsor Regional Ouellette Campus. A heartfelt thank you to Dr's Barry, Bergeron, Cargill, Rukavina and our entire Hospice family.

As per Gerrys' wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Funeral Mass and Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Drive) from 9:30 am til 11 am. With Funeral to begin at 11 am.
