Obituary of David Otto Montgomery

Our Dave, Ott, dad, grandpa, grandpa Dave Montgomery bid us all adieu, Saturday December 2nd, 2023 at the age of 92.

Loving partner to Betty Mathews (September 7, 2023) for 42 years. Father of Jim (Lisa), Maureen (John), Derek (Sandy). Step father of Robyn, Bart, the late Blake and Holly (Raymond).

Grandpa Dave to Kaila, Danae (Kojo), Jonah, Evan, Zoe, Kyler, Jamie, Jennifer, Marie and Krystal. 

Grandpa to Tanya (Nilton), Kendall, Jared and Gage.

Great grandpa to Amalynn, Catalina, Piper, Jiovani, Angelina, Onyx, Bryson, Brianna and Briella.  

Dave was the baby of the family.  Born in Woodslee, Ont to Flossy and Dan Montgomery November 5th, 1931.

Dear brother to Helen Seguin, Lavern Allison and Earl Montgomery.

After 10 years in the RCAF Military Police, serving in England, France and Trenton, Ont, Dave came home to run his father's garage in Woodslee. Eventually he opened his own tool shops-- first Canadian Cold Forging and then Beta Tool. 

He loved his dog, Ghost, his Tim Hortons coffee each morning, his beloved Betty and his whole family very much. And Dave, dad, grandpa will be greatly missed!

We are very grateful for the kind, compassionate care Dave received at Huron Lodge. Many thanks to everyone who crossed his path and made his life a little brighter during his stay in the Hickory unit.
