Obituary of Allan Peate

PEATE, Allan

September 15, 1939 – November 16, 2023

It’s with heavy hearts the family of Allan Peate announces his passing on November 16, 2023 at the age of 84.

Allan is reunited with his cherished wife Patricia Peate (nee Bass) (2020).

Beloved father to Maxine (Henry), Phillip (Donna), Paul (Tammy), and Mark (Lana).

Proud Grandad Peate to Randy, Miranda, Ashley, Brielle, and Jackson, and great-grandfather to eight.

Allan is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Emma Peate and sister Ann Peate (2022).

Dear lifelong friend to Brian and Iris Cocksey.

Allan will be deeply missed by extended family and friends.

Born in England, Allan immigrated to Canada in 1971 with his family. Allan began working from the age of 15 until his retirement at age 65. He dedicated his working life to the trade of tool and die.  

Outside of his professional life, Allan found solace and joy in various hobbies. He was an avid stamp and coin collector and had a talent for crafting Indian ceramics.

Allan relished in the simple pleasures of good conversation over a pint of Guinness.

Above all, Allan was known for his easy-going nature and deep love for his family and his home. His warm presence and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of calling him family or friend.

A heartfelt thank you to Riverside Place and their amazing, loving, and caring staff. They treated Allan like a King. He called them "his angels" ... and they truly are.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
