Janis Lynn Bowden

Passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023, at 73 years of age. Now reunited with parents Gerald (1979) and Lorraine (2015). Sister to Lorry McArthur, Jeri Bowden (Russ) and Cindy Fields (Roy). Loving aunt to Erin McArthur, Kate McArthur, Krista Fields and Sarah Fields. Great-aunt to Lotus and Freya McArthur-Lauria and to Penelope and Ophelia McArthur-Nichol. Once finishing school Janis moved to Toronto where she worked for many years until she decided to pursue the study of jewellery making and geology. She became our ROCKNERD and was able to spend a few winters in Arizona and New Mexico honing her craft and then returned to Ontario to become a vendor to sell her wares. Unfortunately Type 2 Diabetes took hold and eventually she was unable to continue with her love of rocks (even though she tried). As per Janis’s request there will be no viewing or memorial at this time. Arrangements for cremation entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation Centre. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
