Obituary of George Fowler

George "Joe" Fowler passed away peacefully October 21 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 79. Loving husband for 50 years to Carrie Tennant, dear father to Debra Ann and husband Victor, Joe and wife Linda, Tim Tennant and wife Tammy. Pre-deceased by his parents, John "Jack" Fowler and Margaret "Geraldine"(nee Welsh), stepmother Viola, sister Jackie Herdman and her daughter Donna, and step brothers, Gary, Jim and Bill Rumball, and is survived by Peter Rumball. He was loved by his four grandchildren and will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Joe worked 43 years at Reid Industries. He loved cars and cruising in his '51 Ford Victoria. He enjoyed years with the Windsor Street Rods, the cruise scene, and was an avid collector of Hot Wheels. A Celebration of Life will be held at Glenwood United Church (back entrance)1825 Grand Marais W. Saturday, November 4 between 1 PM - 3 PM with a luncheon. Donations may be made to Hospice.
