Obituary of Elizabeth Wimbush

It is with great sadness the Wimbush family announces the peaceful passing of their mother Elizabeth on October 17, 2023 at Mount Hope LTC at the age of 88. Joining her beloved husband Ron Sr. and son Ron Jr. (Dawn), sisters Aggie, Helen and brother Angus.

She leaves behind her beloved children; Carol, Gerald, Gail (Rick), and Liza (Dennis). Special Nanny to Brandon (Amanda), Jennifer, Travis, Sarah, Lindsay (Joe), Blake (Brie), Ryan (Brooke), and Olivia. Great-grandma to Tristan, Vevie, and Lena. Special mother-in-law to Dawn. Liz leaves behind many extended family and friends. Mom was an avid golfer, and one of her and Ron’s favourite places to golf was Maple Ridge where they were members. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing with her family as well as going on long walks. The family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to the long-term care staff at Mount Hope for the care and compassion they showed Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Liz can be made to the London Food Bank. As per Elizabeth’s wishes cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her husband of 67 years at Forest Lawn Cemetery with a celebration of her life held at a later date.
